The
Vision
Heather Aileen Photography
2018 is where it all started, with an in-house product photography job and buckets of enthusiasm to learn as much about the industry as possible. I specialised in homeware, textiles and food photography for both social and print content.
It was fast paced and I gained invaluable experience in lighting, styling and post production however I was missing the creative freedom to explore my own style. I started the process of building my own business, Heather Aileen Photography, in 2020... anyone else would say it was bad timing, given the pandemic, however never being someone to shy away from a task; I pushed through, working fully freelance by 2021.
Weddings ended up being the best fit. I enjoyed every aspect of the process ; meeting the couple and learning more about them, getting to be involved in the most special parts of their wedding day, getting to know their friends and family, being able to give creative direction, the editing of the photos (probably my favourite part!) and finally handing over the photos to the couple. It was one of the most rewarding experiences. I was hooked and I haven't looked back!
